8th – 14th August – ‘Home alone’ for a week
Alan had to return to UK for meetings this week and so I decided to stay on board Musetta while he was away…..
It is still early days for us in terms of long term cruising and so as we go along we discover new ways to do things or to store things. Also the things that we don’t need on board! With this in mind I had a busy week sorting lots of ‘stuff’ out while Alan was away!
In between times I did quite a lot of exploring on my bike in and around the marina and took several snaps so that I can give everyone an idea of where we are at the moment.

We also had two sets of friends arriving back to join their boats. It was good to see them and to catch up with their news, in particular Jo and Robin who arrived back with their daughter Emily fresh from her Clipper Round The World Yacht Race experience, what a great adventure she has had!
Also our old neighbours from Monxton who now live in St Peter Port Guernsey returned here to their boat. We had arranged with them over last winter that we would meet up somewhere in Brittany during this summer! We have finally made it and so it has been good to see them and to catch up!
The weather has certainly bucked up during this last week. We had lovely weather when we visited Îles de Glénans last weekend and it has really filled in now to be hot and sunny each day and so I have managed to have some swims in the lovely clear waters of the sea here at Kerleven Beach which is just outside the marina.
Alan has now returned and so after doing some more boaty jobs (he is in his element doing this?!) we are thinking that we will set off for Loctudy shortly…
More to follow!………..
