It was time for Alan to go back to UK for a week or ten days and so I thought it would be an opportunity for me to get in some practice on Musetta with an expert as my tutor and a good friend too! Very fortunately for me Lara was going to be free in that time period and so it was arranged!

Chenal de Grise – Île du Pilier 31st August – Passge to Île d’Yeu, heading south!!

28th August – passage from Pornic to L’Herbaudière

We left Pornic at around midday to cover the 18 miles to Noirmoutier with a wind of Beaufort force 2! Not enough for us to have a great sail but as the weather was sunny and very warm we put up the lightweight genoa and made our way to our destination slowly but surely.
